Glow Party Decorations & Food

We had a total blast at my daughter's 10th birthday glow/black light/neon party!
I wanted to create an entire room that was draped in black so that the glowing accessories would really pop!

This is our food table!  We had glow jello and glowing cupcakes!

The backgdrop was super simple and easy!
You cans see how I created this HERE:

We created a selfie photo booth and also a makeup station.

This is where the girls could paint their faces with glow paint, and paint their nails with glow in the dark nail polish!

Our guest table was the centerpiece of the room.  It had their glow stick party favors, place settings for food/cake.  And we also did a glowing craft here where we made glow in the dark galaxy jars!

Our selfie photo booth was so much fun for the girls too!

The kids had a blast, dancing, singing karaoke, doing their face paint and nails, and creating their galaxy jars.  I'd suggest this type of party for anything!  All ages and any gender would really enjoy the fun atmosphere that the black light creates!

Check out the video below for a virtual walk through of all the details and fun!
Enjoy!

Glow Party Backdrop

We needed a way to transform our basement into a very dark environment for our daughter's 10th Birthday party.  She hit the big 1-0!!! Crazy feeling for this momma!

She requested a black light/glow party so having it very dark was a must!  We also use our basement for a variety of different things: home school, my craft/work studio, hubby's man cave, storage... so we needed to cover a lot of that up too.

I moved as much of the loose items up against the walls and used a black plastic sheeting from Walmart to go around the main room where the party would be.  I used not quite two rolls of the plastic in the photo below:

Each roll was about $10 each, so for $20 there was plenty for what we needed.  It went up SO FAST AND EASY with a staple gun and some packing tape.

It also created a great backdrop to add decor and our stations to!!!!

I created a video to show the process of how this backdrop went up, just click the link below.

DIY Glow Balloons

We had a total blast at my daughter's 10th birthday party.  The glow in the dark/black light theme was a BIG hit with all of her teenybopper friends!

We added lots of neon elements to the decor so there was lots of things to be glowing once the lights were out.  I needed something that would help light up the floor and balloons came to mind.  We found some neon balloons that were black light reflective but they didn't glow REAL bright like I had hoped.  So we came up with a different solutions to this problem, one that was easy and super cute!

Check out the video below to see how we transformed our balloons into cool party decor!
Enjoy!
