Summer Mantel Tour

Decorating my mantel is one of my all time favorite updates to the look of my home.  I love that you can change a few things around and create a whole new look.  Using things from around the house and maybe adding a new thing here and there.

I think the turquoise and white is a beautiful blend for the summer season.  I hope you can draw inspiration from my mantel design.

DIY Raised Garden Bed Under $20

I am proud to say that not only did I go to the hardware store to buy the wood on my own, but me and my 9 year old daughter built this all by ourselves!

If we can do it, anyone can!

The real prize for this project is finally planting the seeds and plants!

Tips for Buying/Cooking Chicken to SAVE YOU MONEY

I'm a little frugal when it comes to grocery shopping.

I've learned over the years what the best prices are on different food products and chicken is one that I always wait till it hits under $2.00 a pound before I buy.  The rock bottom price around our area is $1.77/ lb.

Chevron Mason Jar Vase Holder with Chalkboard Sign

This was definitely a Pinterest love at first sight DIY project.

I ended up just kind of making up the directions as I went along, which you'll see all of that in the video below.  It's a fairly simple design and can be decorated in lots of different ways to fit your home's decor.  Would also make a wonderful gift!  (This was my Mother's Day gift to my mom this year!)

Green Smoothie Recipe

We are a green smoothie family!

Sounds funny, but we love them!  Even my toddler loves his and he's a very picky eater.  Plus they are HEALTHY.  I love healthy whenever possible.

Outside Kid's Water Wall - FIreman Themed

Water and kids are just always a fun mix!

I've been slowly adding to our backyard the last couple of years, making it fun for my two kiddos.

This year I decided to create a fireman themed area for our toddler son.

A water wall came right to mind first thing.

Thumbtack Painting Tip

I have used this tip for quite awhile as I DIY and paint quite often.
