I have used this recipe for YEARS.  I was an avid couponer for awhile and did all things thrifty.  This was one of my favorite money saving DIYs.  The ingredient for this project cost you under $3.00 but will produce bottle after bottle of this awesome smelling fabric freshener.  You are literally getting each full bottle for PENNIES when you make it over and over, which I DO!!!

Fabric freshener is so great for your home, but take it outside too!!!  This stuff is so great in your car.  Of course don't spray it before you plan to drive anywhere, it will take a little bit to dry once a surface has been misted.

I whipped up many of these little lovies for this years Valetine's Day.  Not just for my friends and family but also sold a dozen to clients.  YES!

 

I found these little plush animals at the Dollar Tree (I LOVE THE DOLLAR TREE).  Then added the personalization to the bears with the HTV.  I can think of lots and lots of way to change up this project to meet different events, holidays, celebrations, and such.  Possibilities are endless.  Check out the DIY video below to learn this easy technique and try it yourself!  I have included great tips and ideas in the video, I hope you ENJOY!

We have a family calendar, as most busy families I'm sure do too.  That on top of an app that we keep handy on our phones that we share.  Why does that not seem to be enough?!

 

Because we are BUSY.

 

The more reminders for us the better.  Right?  Right.

 

We visit the fridge, a good dozen times a day... each.  So for us, that's the most convenient spot to put this handy little gadget.  I can think of so many things you could write on this dry erase style board.  Watch the video to learn how to make one for your family!

 I'm in LOVE with all the chalkboard art that pops up in my Pinterest feed.  Problem is... I need mine to be permanent.  I have little hands (children) that would love to undo anything pretty in this house.  So as much as I'd love to have a real chalkboard wall or piece hung in my home, it's just not the best idea for the next... ummm... 18 years.

I decided to come up with a solution of my own.  And a very inexpensive one at that.  What's the closest I could get to a chalkboard?  POSTER BOARD ($.79), a Paint Pen ($3.00), a Pencil (FREE, hopefully you have one laying around your house too), and a piece of chalk (again, FREE, or hopefully very very inexpensive if you don't already have a box).

Wooden Ring Holder - VERY FIRST DAILY DIY!

Here's a simple way to keep your rings safe if you happen to need to remove them.  Plus, you'll never have to remember where you sat them down.

Supplies:

A piece of wood cut into a rectangle (ours is "5.5"Wx"6.5"L)

Stain or paint

A sawtooth picture hanger

2 - Screw in hooks

Paint/Paintbrush or Vinyl
Hammer
Drill or Screwdriver

For me, taking off your wedding right is "bad luck."  Not sure what kind of bad luck, whether it's for your marriage or in general, but I was always told it was bad luck so I decided to not push my luck.  However, for many, it's just a way of life.  No big deal, just remove your rings to complete your everyday tasks (dishes, cooking, cleaning, etc).  There is nothing wrong with that, except for maybe when you take off your rings and then... oooops.... "Where did I put my rings?"

My client is one who takes off her rings often, so does her husband, and she needed a place they both could safely store their rings as well as have a place they'd always remember where they sat them down at.

She sent me a photo of something similar to what I've recreated here.  I made this one into a style that would match her homes décor, but this would be a beautiful piece painted or stained to match any décor.  Replace the saying on the front with your own wording or design to compliment your personal style.
