My son, now nearly 3 years old, was so much fun this Easter! My daughter, almost 10, I think it about to outgrow this fun holiday... Such a difference in prospective in that 7 year age gap.
None the less, they both had so much fun!
My favorite part of the day was church. Not only did we have a baptism, which is such a symbolic thing to witness, especially on Easter Sunday; however, church service was just so very moving. I think we all go through the motions and sometimes we just need to stop and feel God's presence.
You can see our full day of fun from Easter morning, to church service, to our amazing lunch, and egg hunt at the kid's grandparent's house in the video linked below.
When you can relive some of your childhood memories, that is just about as good as it gets when it comes to holiday traditions. We spent the day with my grandmother (my kid's great grandmother).
As a kid, me and my sister spent a lot of time with my grandparents and a lot of our family traditions are passed down from those times. It's been so great passing these traditions onto my own children.
Saturday we dyed eggs with my Grandma. Something me and my sister ALWAYS did with her. We even used the same spoons we used as kids for the dye cups.
In addition to that always fun activity, we also had an egg hunt - which was a little different then regular eggs hunts. You'll have to watch the video below to see that fun...
