Kids Activity: Planting Seeds

Kids love to get their hands dirty, and this is a great educational way of letting them!
Planting Seeds with Kids

We had so much fun with this, which you'll see in the video tutorial below!  My little guy just loved the water and my little girl is a teacher in the making helping to explain all the steps we did.

Above I share some extra supplies you can use to take this activity to the next level.  Let the kids paint their terra cotta pots first so they have something truly all their own.  Also you can add plant marker signs with the kids' names on them instead of the plant's names which I'm sure they will be most proud of.

This activity can get pretty messy.  We are taking about water and dirt here.  So maybe take this outside, if you have the opportunity.  If not, then place mats, and paper towels are highly recommended.

We had a great time with this, and even if our flowers don't sprout, it's great memories for us to have made together.  So take a few minutes to watch the video tutorial below and then go make your own precious memories with your kiddos!

Enjoy!
